Hello! I am going to Malaysia this winter break! I am excited but what dangerous diseases are lurking this Holiday season? These are just a few of the deadly infectious diseases running around unnoticed in Malaysia... the Avian Influenza also known as H5N1, Sarcocystosis, Dengue, Measles, Malaria, Typhoid, and Hepatitis A&B. Those are quite a few diseases you can catch this holiday season! if YOU dont want to spend Christmas in bed with a nasty disease, 4-6 weeks before your trip you can get a vaccine to lower your chances significantly of catching that disease. Now one of the most dangerous by far is Malaria. This is transmitted through mosqitoes and you know how many mosquito bites we all get! Unless you carry a real scintific microscope that you can see bacteria through, you won't be seeing this naughty critter, but this is a picture of it anyway!
